Zoooo!!!

Went to the Zoo for drawing class today!
they were giving out these cute panda sweets!!
we all loved the packaging,real clever :D

after awhile we got rather lethargic
the weather was hot and humid
all we wanted was to find some place cooling

heres my sketch for the day!
the elephant has an extra leg as i was too lazy to erase it hahahaha :p

After the trip went to meet Jun Hao for dinner!
had Bah Ku Teh and Kway Chap,wasn't nice though :/

what a long and tiring day!
glad to be home :D

Was feeling a little hungry and there wasn't any food at home!
thus i went to cook myself some scrambled eggs.
hahaha was trying to make my dish look expensive
should've seen the mess i created :p

Oh and We are going to the Zoo for drawing lessons tomorrow!
hahaha making me feel like a child all over again :p

finally went to visit the National Museum to visit the Dreams & Reality exhibition!
wanted to go see the famous works for a long time but was too lazy haha
it was awesome seeing works by artists that we learnt in our art history
cezanne,gaugin,van gogh,millet and many many more!
the photographs that were up didn't really catch my attention though :/

We then had a little tea break at the Novus :)

In the evening went to Changi Village,
to meet up with George,Chee Hern and Ted!
George is back in Singapore for summer holidays
been a long time since i last saw him :)

its funny how everytime we gather,
the same few things that we talk about never gets old

CNY!! gong xi gong xi

so busy during CNY!
busy eating that is :p
the lobsters was so shiok,
i ate soooo much of it hahahaha
this year we didn't have shark's fin,
although i kinda miss the delicious broth,
i was happy to give it up :)

and of course,
with holidays comes homework.
went to cut out petals from film negatives,
and sticking them together to form flowers
its actually rather simple.
and you'd only need a few items.

film negatives,scissors,tweezers and super glue
and you're ready to begin!

ohoh and we went to test print our silkscreen prints
and im so glad my design came out the way i wanted it to be!

Went to meet Jun Hao today!
we had lunch at Astons before watching The Viral Factor at the Cathay.

the show was not that bad,although some parts can be quite draggy.
wouldn't recommend it to my friends though :/
After which we went to the Kbox at Orchard Cineleisure
wahaha it was super expensive,$30 per person.
but it was such an enjoyable experience,
hahahahaha and i confirmed that singing wasn't my talent :p

all in all,
what an awesome day :D

insectopia!

heres my insectopia design for 2D class
we were supposed to make a silkscreen design using photoshop which will save time but....
i don't have photoshop on my macbook!! :(
thus i did it the traditional way,
marker and paper
hahaha took me 4 whole hours!

start of semester!

ahh first week of semester 2 and homework is already piling up!
was helping my friend come up with a costume for his performance.
i hope the costume maker can pull it off,
really excited to see how it will turn out!

oh and i went to get myself a red shirt that i can wear for CNY!
heehee feeling festive! :D

Say no to shark fin soup!

Chinese New Year is less than a month away!
My dad would prepare a feast for the entire family :D
and every year we will definitely have Shark's Fin Soup
it tastes amazing and we'd always look forward to it.


but when i read about the movement against eating shark's fin
and after watching this video,
i thought about it and what he said makes complete sense.
shark's fin is really tasteless,the flavour comes from the broth and not the fin.
and to de-fin a shark and throwing it back into the sea is equivalent to a death sentence.

it never really occurred to me how this tasty bowl of shark fin soup came about
but now that i think about it,its really selfish of us.

thus i approached my dad
and asked if we could skip the shark's fin soup
or maybe just replace it with something else
and he agreed :)

hopefully it will help!

Holidays are over
Back in my hall,start of year 1,semester 2
kinda curious to see who my new classmates are :)

i like how my hair looks after i just showered,
but once it dries its so ugly :(

retail theraphy~

was walking home from Tampines
when i saw this thing on the floor.
took me awhile for my brain to register,

SNAKE!

i jumped so high that the snake had a shock
and dashed back into the tall grass.


it was kinda small
but still,
its a freakkin snake! :O

poor thing..

while waiting for the bus,
i noticed this mynah that was hopping around and chirping frantically.
upon closer observation,
i realised that pile of thing in front of it was actually a flattened bird!
it might have been its partner or maybe its child..
it was so saddening watching it cry for help..

the worse thing is it died at the bus stop,
which means there will be plenty of buses rolling over it...poor thing! :(((

having lots of difficulty painting the leather jacket!! :O

Close call

My iPhone4 was damaged by water thus I brought to M1 customer service centre at Paragon.

Initially I was told that I had to pay $328 for liquid damage as its not covered by warranty.

Thankfully after inspecting the damage 

the interior wasn't affected thus it was still covered by warranty 

and I had it replaced for free! Phew!!!!!!

Super happy and relieved! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

writing this post in the last 5 minutes of 2011,
as 2012 approaches,here are the list of the things i wish to accomplish in the coming year

• get awesome grades for UNI
• have an exhibition for my artworks!
• spend more time with my family
• get my driving liscense
• get abs :p
