Here are some sketches i did for my foundation drawing class :D

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple,Chinatown

somewhere near Tanjong Pagar MRT,don't really know the name of this place hahaha

IPPT!

went to Tampines SAFRA for my IPPT
first time taking it since i ORDed
been procastinating it for more than a year now..
i was so nervous that i woke up at 7am when the reporting time was at 10am.
arrived at EnergyOne gym at 9:45am,
there were many other candidates already present
almost 40 plus people

we began with the Standing Broad Jump
after which was my most feared station,the Pull Up Bar!!
i was sweating profusely while waiting for my turn :O
i mounted the bar and off i go
managed to do 8 pull ups!!
felt like i could've done abit more but i didn't want to waste my energy
still have other stations to go
i can't believe it,i did 8!
such a huge accomplishment for me
considering how i used to fail during NS..
the rest of the stations were a breeze :)

finally we went to the treadmills in the gym
where regardless of what speed you secure they'd just award you a 2 points,
the minimum required to pass
but running at a constant speed 12 and incline 2 on the treadmill was soooo tiring!!

after all that hardwork,
i finally managed to clear my IPPT!!
such a huge burden off my chest!
phew! :D :D

shall try for the monetary one next IPPT ;)

went to Ann Siang Hill today for foundation drawing lesson :D
the weather was sooo hot, thankfully we managed to find a sheltered place to sketch!
heres my sketch for today!
gonna apply watercolour to it soon :D

oh and i chanced upon this music video,lovely song :)

3D Assignment: Fish Bone Sculpture

Heres the process of my 3D assignment! :D

Gotta thank my dad as he was the one who spent so much time
and effort helping me to remove the flesh from the fish! thanks dad :D

using a toothbrush i then scrapped away the flesh on the fish bones,
boiling them makes it easier to remove :)
after which,i placed them out to dry

after they're dried,
i sprayed a layer of white paint over them
to mask the fishy smell

i then attached the wire through the sculpture,
making sure it works.

and finally,the sculpture is done! :D

haha it has no degree at all :p

had our asian art history test this week,
spent the whole day studying together with Juu,Shane and Pengfong!
haha they made studying enjoyable :)

after which went to Jurong Point with my bestie!
so many things to see in NTUC!
couldn't believe how long we spent in there hahahaha

and the one thing that never fails to make me happy is...
discounted sushi!!! :D :D :D yums!!

was helping out at ADMcafe
and got a little bored thus i went to decorate the tips jar
hahahaha,makes me happy to do art :)

oh and valentine's day is just around the corner!
working on a little project with my bestie,Juu
using tissues to make roses! :D

Insectopia final poster

Often when we see an insect,
our first instinct is to reach for the closest object capable of inflicting damage,
or best, kill it.
Did It ever occur to us that it has a life of it’s own?
It probably meant no harm
and all it wanted was to gather some food and make its way home,
unfortunately it crossed path with us,
murderers.

In my poster, i wanted to place ourselves in their shoes.
Having us as the victim,
having nothing to fend ourselves
but the tool stained with their blood.

managed to get an A+ for this assignment which came as a huge surprise to me :D
my bestie Juu helped me alot in this assignment! THANK YOU!!!

oh and these were my teacher's comments.
she is so encouraging! :D

Elmo!

was looking around Takashimaya and chanced upon this hand puppets section,
decided to make a video out of it hahaha.

the shopkeepers were looking and giggling while i was making this video,
felt so paiseh but still did it anyway :p

Thursday,2nd Febuary 2012

Insectopia
stayed up the entire night with Shane and Juu to work on our 2D assignment
the task of this assignment was to create 2D posters using silkscreen.
after every print,we had to wash the screen and dry it up
which was such a hassle as the frame had to be completely dry!
one mistake and the entire paper is ruined! :O

we managed to finish the printing at around 6am,
all of us were dead tired,
and worse still we had lessons in the morning!
but im glad we managed to finish our work,
it felt awesome! :D
