Marina Bay Sands

Haha this is a continuation from the previous post!
well i left off saying that i went to Alvin Lim's "birthday" party
and this is what happened that night :)

after i took the cab with benjamin,
i dropped off at Newton MRT and made my way to promenade station.

upon alighting there,well i followed Alvin's advice to go by millenia walk,
all of a sudden,
there were fireworks above me.
haha apparently it was some NDP rehearsal
didnt managed to get a good view of it,
oh wells,this was all i got.TOO SLOW!!

haha epic fail.
and whats worse,ashes from the fireworks actually landed into my mouth,
uncertain of what the hell was inside that substance from above.
i hurried to the nearest toilet,
and after i came out,i was completely disorientated.
as a result,i ended up walking further and further away from Marina Bay Sands
but it didnt stop me,cos im too used to getting lost.LOL.

and YES,finally i reached Marina Bay Sands Hotel!
it was rather grand,but too many people inside.
felt just like expo or suntec city
oh wells,guess cos it just opened

went up to the hotel room
alvin and the rest were taking a dip in the pool at the highest floor
while i was eating the remaining pieces of KFC chicken left for me.

the view was awesome
haha so was the lift ride,it was so fast that your ears would pop.
the rest of the night was just booze,poker cards,soccer and lotsa cigarettes for them
i didnt drink much though,hated the taste of liquor :(

everyone was so tired that it took so long to "tau pok" someone,

and with all that booze,
of course there would be the vomit and the knockouts
haha surprisingly they still managed to stay awake for the 2:30am
germany vs uruguay match.

Before you know it,
its already the next day.


though it was a beautiful sunny morning,
we were still snuggled under the blankets refusing to get up.
haha


before we left the hotel,
we made our way up to the pool area to check out the magnificent view from above

it was as though we were in another country,

really awesome huh.



all in all,it was a rather awesome weekend that i had
really enjoyed it :)

Photoshoot : benjamin

Met up with Benjamin yesterday for a photoshoot,
after a super super longgg time,we finally meet again.
and he sure looks different after BMT!
haha

As we had lunch at Manhattan Fish Market,
we shared our own experiences as drivers in different unit,
his in sembawang camp whereas mine in selerang camp.
haha but there sure is alot in common though,
yep that is loads of fucked up people everywhere u go.

it was nice meeting him again,
i always liked it when he shares with me all the places he has travelled to,
and all the exciting and wonderful peope he met.

we then headed back to my place,
where ive set up a "photoshoot studio"
using my own room.
awesome right??
haha

started using body paint,
or washeable tempera paint to be exact on him
and it was much more tedious than i expected!
took me super long to complete it.
but it was worth it :D

aniways,
this was where he was trying to unzip his thousand dollars jacket
but was so scared to use force as it might damage it.
hahaha

time wasnt on our side as he had to rush off to a wedding dinner,
thus we called it a day and took a cab down to town
where i went to Marina Bay Sands hotel for alvin's party
and he went for his cousin's wedding dinner

The Mimosa

The Mimosa
The generic name is derived from the Greek word μιμος (mimos), meaning "mimic"

its a plant that has a brain of its own,with hands similar to those of human beings.
the fruits are being held and protected,it will then be tossed far away by the hands of the Mimosa,allowing the seeds to have ample space for growth.

was also thinking along the line of "touch-me-not" which is commonly used during my childhood times.haha oh wells.

been really busy these few weeks,
loads of events and stuff going on in my unit
this anniversary,that anniversary.
coerced to celebrate.
LOL
but i must admit,some parts of the events i did have fun
especially the one at Jurong East Swimming Complex.
the slides there were fun :)


ok now time for a confession
well,after trying out other games
like Warcraft and L4D2
i ended up returning to a game
that i used to play,
and one that i swore never to touch ever again
MAPLESTORY!! (nows the time to go WTF?!)
haha well,
my friend got me back into the game
would really like to play MUonline again
but its wayyy too screwed up.
guess i shall be hooked on to this for now.HAHAHA

Sentosa Trip :)

Went sentosa to chill on saturday:)

its been such a long time
since the last time i went there
and so much has changed!!

even though theres alot of renovations going on
and many attractions not yet open
there were still loads of people!
maybe because Singaporeans really have no place else to go
haha just like myself.

The first thing that i wanted to do was to take a cable car ride,
thus i queued up for the "Skyrider" which was sort of similiar to the cable car

i was suddenly reminded of the fact that
I WAS KINDA SCARED OF HEIGHTS
haha but too late man
im way way way up there alr

i was sooo worried that my slippers would drop down below
and that my camera would slip out of my hands
plus i wasnt paying attention to what pictures i was taking
just randomly snapping photos
while holding on to dear life.
LOL
when i finally got off the ride
i could still feel myself tremble
haha
ya ya im such a puss :p


we then went to stroll along the beach
watching people having fun
while feeling envious of people with such good physique
theres a good reason why i had my shirt on.HAHA


watching the kids building sandcastles
lost in their own innocent little world
not having to face the brutality of the real world
how fortunate


after which
we head on down to check out the recent attraction
Resort World Sentosa
on our way there,
we were rather intrigued by the ornamental structures

it felt rather mystical :)



its the first time ive ever seen this place
and it was rather impressive
dunno why i kept smelling a scent of barbequed prawns though.
maybe i was hungry.


everything is brand new and squeaky clean :D



there was such a longggg queue outside Universal Studios!!
its a pity that we didnt have tickets
would really love to check it out :(

but I heard many of the attractions are still in construction
maybe i'll just wait a little while :)



the fountain was charming with all its blue lights
and and
i was really impressed by the underground carpark
LOL man it was MASSIVE!!
(of all things right?)

btw,the mascot for the attraction
"song of the sea"
was a lionfish with two huge front teeth
my friend and i were wondering what kinda retarded sound it would make
and we were very amused by our own jokes.HAHAHA

all in all,
i enjoyed the trip there
and i look forward to my next visit
hopefully the next time id be entering with a ticket in hand :)

we get to use the computers after working hours.
yep


feeling really down lately.
nothing accomplished
just mundane daily routines.
why do they do that with NSF?
being coerced to serve

sometimes i wonder are we really serving the nation
or are we serving the regulars in camp.
they (not all of them of course) do not care about
how you feel,
how miserable you are,
how much youre missing your family and friends outside
they dont care,really

ordering us around
unable to carry things by themselves
and shouting at us when their superior comes by
to prove to them that they are doing their job
how pathetic.

what makes us less deserving than you guys?
is it because we are NSF?
is it because our rank is lower?
or are you that pathetic that you have to step on others
who are helpless
in order to boost your ego?

do we not have a family?
do we not have friends?
have we stepped on your toes?
then why the fuck are you making life difficult for us?

"concerned" you say?
thats bullshit,you and i both know.
there you are,happily booking out
going back home.
whereas we
imprisoned,
have no rights to speak.
even when the dust has settled,
you just HAVE to stir it up again

do you really understand us?

man...
was surfing the net and decided to look back at a game i used to play
MAPLESTORY!


ah...the days where i could just sit in front of my computer non stop
grinding my character,just wishing that EXP bar would rise faster
pressing spacebar to loot items and mesos
having to travel far and wide and through so many channels
just to get a cosy little "hotspot" to train my lightning mage

the fascinating worlds and hypnotic music
that this online game had to offer,
with each character customized to your own liking
those big watery sparkling eyes
saying "please don't go offline and stay with me..please?"

and of course,
the annoying two words that people LOVE to abuse,KS(Kill Steal)
"spot taken,change channel.dont ks me....blah blah blah"
really gets on people's nerves.

I used to like the game alot,
until they introduced EXP cards,
whereby if you're just willing to
fork out that extra amount of cash
to buy the maple cashcard,
ur EXP will go whoooosh!
just like ur cash.

To me,i dont mind spending hours training and training,
to earn my EXP points,
however,if you were to take THAT away and make it all cash based..
really spoils the fun
id rather save the money and spend it on something more worthwhile...
however,they are a company afterall
and im sure they can't possibly maintain the game for free

Its all business tactics i guess.
getting you hooked on to the game,
till you achieve a high level
and THEN they introduce cashcards to boost ur EXP
and everyone else is using them,
thus not wanting to lose out,
you head on to the nearest 7eleven
and take out that $10.50 to purchase the Maplestory cashcard.
but its never enough,trust me.

having said all these
im really impressed by the creativity
and effort
placed into this MMORPG game
captivating game indeed.
but im glad im over it.
haha phew

maybe there are some other MMORPG
that i might fall in love with
but i'd never part with my cash for online money anymore.
Never!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Well yesterday was Sunday,
not just ANY sunday,it was mother's day!
and i thought id do something sweet for my mom
thus i decided to treat her for dinner :)
with my meagre sum of money in my POSB savings.lol

we head off to the seafood hawker centre
in our neighbourhood after my parents came back from work.
we sat down and looked through the menu,
picked out prawns,beef,tofu,some baby "kai lan"
and not forgetting Crabs!!

i was really excited cos it was MY treat
it was my first time treating my parents too.
as you know,we NSF have quite a pathetic amount of allowance.
aniway that wasnt my point.
my point is,it was really special for me
and i wanted everything to go well.

but things didnt turn out the way i expected.
the prawns arrived
and when my parents ate them,
they commented on how it wasnt fresh and all
and that my sister and I should have order it steamed
and they went on and on about it.
i was a little upset at it but i didnt show it.

Then came the crab,
we ordered crab bee hoon
and my parents and sis took some of it
while i was still enjoying the tofu we ordered earlier.
saving the best or last
and before i even got to have a taste of the crab
my dad told us not to eat it as it wasnt fresh
and that they served a dead crab and that the meat was stale

at that point it really got me.
i felt as though it was my fault that the dinner was a screw up
i carried such a happy heart hoping my parents would enjoy it
and now it was all ruined.
cos i ordered the wrong dishes.
i kept reminding myself that it was Mother's day
and that i shouldnt put up a sulky face
thus i went to the washroom hoping to calm myself down.

when i came out my parents were trying to console me
that it wasnt my fault that the food was bad
and that my mom was happy
and she appreciated my efforts in having this dinner

we ended up having a refund for the crab
and with me having a heavy heart.
it was a sad night for me.
felt so bad.

i just wanted it to be special.

i finally decided to get myself a tablet!
its a Wacom intuos4 tablet
cost me $379
(bought from a shop at Funan DigitalLife Mall)
its the smallest sized as I figured out i don't really need the larger sized ones
which cost a hell lot more!

haha im just a beginner so this will do :)

okay after 6 hours plus of trying out this digital drawing thing.
i realised how noob i am.
its like drawing for the first time.
NOOOOOO
i got really annoyed with all the functions
that are so redundant in the photoshop programme.
like all the filter effects
which just makes the picture look extremely fake.
and super ugly.

or maybe its just me LOL

have lots more to learn
hope my eyes don't go blind
from facing the computer screen all day long

gonna practice more.hahahaha

went to catch IRON MAN 2
well its one of those shows whereby
i just HAD to watch even though im no big fan of it
movies that i didn't just want to hear
from the mouths of my friends who watched it before.

and...my verdict is...
it was a rather draggy show...
too much talking
and i didn't really get why
they had to include scarlett johansson
when she wasn't of much importance

bah,maybe its just me again.
still in love with Avatar.
