Singapore Biennale 2011

Singapore Biennale 2011!!
met up with Tiak Hui,Evelyn and Enci this morning to visit the Singapore Biennale,
which is ending this week.
didn't wanna miss it :)

The exhibitions were set up at several venues
Singapore Art Museum,SAM at 8Q,National Museum of Singapore,Old Kallang Airport and Marina Bay(Merlion Hotel).

We went to visit the Singapore Art Museum first
i was intrigued by Julian Gothe's work
the other works there didnt really capture my attention as much


we then made our way to SAM at 8Q which was nearby
it was definitely much more interesting and engaging
and there were plenty of video installations

There was another video installation we watched
The Impossibility of Knowing by Tan Pin Pin
it was so impactful,really affected my mood.bravo

after which the three of us were too hungry to continue,
thus we head off to Food for Thought to have our lunch!

After eating,we continued our journey
to the National Art Museum

We then took the shuttle bus to our last destination of the day
the Old Kallang Airport!
upon walking into the building,
we were greeted by towering pillars of paper and wire mesh

as you walk up the stairway,
if you look closely
you'll realise tiny captions written all over
at really random places on the floor,walls,railings and even the windows
these are artworks by Nedko Solakov
all the things he writes never fails to make me laugh
its all so witty and interesting
definitely the most memorable hahaha

damn gross when i think of it


there were a few other artworks but my iphone battery ran out
hahaha it was a rather interesting experience.
thankfully the weather was cooling as it rained earlier
id say that this was definitely an eye opener :D
it ends on the 15th may!
